This page explains how ChairAtlas uses cookies and similar technologies on chairatlas.co to operate the site, understand traffic, and attribute affiliate referrals. For the wider picture on personal data, see our privacy policy.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, and URL parameters used for tracking. You can control many cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect analytics or affiliate attribution, but you can still browse specs and guides.
1. Essential / functional (on-device)
These are used to remember choices you make on ChairAtlas. They are stored in your browser and are not required for basic page viewing, but without them Compare and fit settings reset when you leave.

2. Statistics — Google Analytics (GA4)
In production we use Google Analytics to collect anonymous or aggregated information about how visitors use the Website (for example page views and approximate location). Google may set cookies such as the following. Exact names and lifetimes can change as Google updates its products.

3. Affiliate / marketing measurement
When you click an outbound affiliate link (for example to eBay via the eBay Partner Network, or to a manufacturer via Commission Junction or another network), that partner may set cookies or use similar technology on their domain to attribute a later purchase. We do not control those cookies.

4. Hosting and security
Our hosting and edge providers may set strictly necessary cookies for security, load balancing, or bot mitigation (for example short-lived cookies from Vercel or Cloudflare-related services). These vary by request path and provider configuration.
5. How to control cookies
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and site data for chairatlas.co (this also clears Compare and fit preferences stored in localStorage).
- Use private/incognito windows if you prefer not to persist preferences between sessions.
- Use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on if you want to limit GA measurement across sites.
- Review cookie and privacy controls on third-party sites after you leave via an outbound link.
6. Changes
We may update this cookie policy when our tools or partners change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
